Msc Economics students must successfully complete 32 units of coursework, 9 of which are offered in fall semester of the first year.

The spring semester of the first year completes the main body of the coursework. At the end of this semester, students should be able to navigate the branches of Economics independently.

The summer after the first year is students’ opportunity to start doing research in an area of interest to them. The individual research course offered in this semester is to guide them through this process.

Second Year (Third and Fourth Semesters)

Students must successfully complete at least 26 units of the 32 required for the MSc Economics Degree by the end of the second year. They have the option to choose from the following electives*.

Fifth Semester (Optional)

September 23 – December 21 (Mehr 1 – Azar 30)

Students must successfully complete all the degree requirements, including 26 units of coursework and the master’s thesis (6 units), at the end of fifth semester.
