Overview
AEC and real estate are at the new stage of benefiting from new technology advancements in Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, Laser Scanning, Image and Video Processing, LiDAR, and UAVs. This lecture will review existing technologies and potentials of their application in the AEC and real estate market. These are the interdisciplinary areas in which AEC and computer science experts can collaborate to advance body of knowledge.
Biography
Dr. Taiebat is a graduate of Architecture from Shahid Beheshti University, Project Management from College of Fine Arts at University of Tehran, and Construction Management from College of Architecture at Virginia Tech. He worked with five international construction management companies in the US. Dr. Taiebat is currently a venture associate at SandHill Angels, Adviser at Indoor Reality, and CEO & Founder of a startup at Silicon Valley, California.
