Prior to joining TeIAS in March 2020, Pejman was an assistant professor at the University of St Andrews for nearly 6 years. He earned his PhD in Economics (specialization: Money, Finance & Banking) from Université de Limoges, France in December 2013.
Pejman’s current research projects include Islamic finance, stock price informativeness, trade credit, and resolution of failed banks. He has published articles in prestigious journals such as Review of Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Banking & Finance and Journal of the American Academy of Religion.
Pejman is a visiting assistant professor at Université de Limoges since 2016 and an honorary assistant professor at the University of St Andrews. He had been appointed as a consultant to Scottish Government to provide research services in relation to Brexit (April 2019- March 2020). He has more than ten years of experience in banking industry.
